My mom got the truck a few years ago with only 60K on the odometer. The owner who originally had it didn't drive it much so the truck was in good shape. After my mom got it her bf used it to haul wood. Cause of this the bed was damaged pretty good. Rest of the truck is in decent shape, no major rust or dents. With a new bed getting the body back into perfect shape probably wouldn't be too hard. Drive train is in excellent shape which shows Ford's reliability. I would like to restore it, its low ... read more >>

After getting my first job on my fifteenth birthday, I started to save all of my money with the goal of buying a square body Chevy. I had always loved these trucks, and it was my dream to have one. After a couple of months of saving up all my money, I started looking around for a truck that I liked, but I could still afford. A couple of months went by, and we found the perfect truck and drove 3 hours to go pick it up. The truck was in good condition, but it definitely needed some work. ... read more >>

I always wanted one on these trucks growing up and never had one, so I told myself that when I had my own place and a garage I would build one. So the day came and I started looking around till I found one with a good frame and brought it home. The truck was totally taken apart even the rivets in the frame everything cleaned and painted and started to put it back together. I ran across things in the project that made it take way longer than I wanted but it is all together and I am ... read more >>

I swapped a 1981 Chevy crew cab dually for the 67 GMC in 1994 (I had previously had 3 1967-72 Chevy trucks) I used it for a daily driver til 2007 when we took it apart and rebuilt it and finished it in 2012. The following modifications include full Ridetech suspension on coil overs, wildwood disc brakes, vintage air, electric one piece windows, shaved door handles. It's powered by a 2004 escalade 6.0 LQ9,4L65 auto trans, Speartech harness and reprogrammed PCM drive by wire and cruise control. Last but not least is LMC body parts, interior parts, electrical parts too ... read more >>

My brother bought the truck in 1972 and ran it into the early 90's. I bought it from him and re-did it with salvage yard parts in 1994 and drove it till 1997. I then stored it until 2012 as a retirement project. Thank you to LMC for most of my parts. I took the next 2 years to restore it. The reason I kept the truck was because of how rare it is. It has factory air, factory tack, turbo 350 transmission, and posi-traction rear. This is how it turned out!

I’ve had this truck for about 12 years now but my attraction to this body style goes back much farther than that. When I was a kid my grandpa had a blue 79 Chevy Scottsdale long bed that I just loved. He’d frequently take me for rides in it to the farm or just around town. As I was growing up I’d always wanted that truck but I never told him and he ended up selling it to a neighbor of his. Fast forward a few years to September of 2003. My brother, who lives in Indiana, has a ... read more >>

This truck started life as a U-Haul 14 foot cube. Now I'm converting it to a pickup with a stretch box. I have actually added 3 feet to the box. It's a work in progress.
