1978 Ford F-150 – William K.

I've been around Fords all my life. My father loved Ford products and wouldn’t drive anything but Ford. As a young man my best friend, Miles Burd, started building dirt track cars and racing them, all Fords of coarse. He and I had a love for 1956 and 1957 Ford Fairlanes. Back in the mid-to-late-1960s we never had a problem finding them for sale, or parted-out ones in the salvage yard. Miles raced them for over 35 years before he retired in the late 90s. My Ford truck story started back in June 2001. My stepson and his fiance ... read more >>

1970 Chevy C10 – Bob D.

My son and I were visiting Salem, Oregon, last summer (I went to high school there and some of my family still lives there) and while there we drove down to Springfield to visit "Grave Yard Cars." We while driving through town I spied this great looking 1970 Chevy C10. Having had several of these trucks over the years and always in the market for one, I stopped to look it over. The truck had only 71K original miles and the current owner had purchased it from a guy who had done a semi restoration on it. The only thing ... read more >>

1967 Ford F-100 – Kyle C.

My uncle bought the truck brand new in 1967. He drove it until he passed it on to his two sons who drove it during their high school years. After they moved on to college and families, the truck returned to my uncle, who basically put it in storage for several years. About 15 years ago he decided he wanted to sell it and I grabbed it up! Soon after I bought the truck my uncle passed with colon cancer. It has been a 15 year journey and a dedication to family to redo the truck. Thanks to LMC ... read more >>

1976 Chevy Cheyenne – Mark K.

I found this pickup in May 2016. The lady that had it bought it for her son to fix up but he was never interested in doing it, so the pickup had just been sitting for well over a year. She told me the original owner passed away and she purchased it from his son who never tagged it. After she got it she had the title changed to her name but didn't carry insurance or tag it. After I purchased it I tagged it as the second owner. The original owner kept all the paperwork with it from ... read more >>

1953 Ford F100 – Paul F.

I bought this old F100 when I was 15 years old, When I was 17 I moved off the farm and stored my truck in the corner of the barn. Now, 40 years later my 17-year-old son wants to restore the old truck with me before he heads off to college in a year. This is the removal from the barn, the photos are of my son and dad. The state inspection sticker is from 1978. We have started the frame off restoration and will be hitting it heavy this summer.

1954 Ford F-100 – Abe S.

I bought my 1954 F-100 from my grandfather in 1977 for $200. He bought it new. He worked it hard on his dairy farm in Lancaster County, PA. The non-working odometer read 102,000 miles. It became my second car and sometimes my daily driver. I had the engine rebuilt in 1979. It ran great but the truck was rusting away. It would leave rust marks on the driveway after a rainstorm. My son, then 5 years old, named her Old Betsy. In 1998, I had it painted the original Meadow Green. A lot of sheet metal had to be ... read more >>

1964 Chevy C10 – Brett & Lisa Renee M.

Lisa Renee bought this 1964 C10 as a wedding gift for her husband-to-be in 2014. It was an all original running truck, believed to be a very low miles find. It needed work to become roadworthy but the original 230 motor is running strong in front of a swapped out T5 transmission. The C10 quickly became an everyday work driver, running around the KC metro area as a service and sales call truck for a company they both own. Over the years the truck has gotten repairs and upgrades. The rust-free cab maintains a great patina look. The interior ... read more >>

1949 Ford F3 – Dave M.

When I was a kid on the farm the first vehicle I learned to drive, other than the tractor, was a 1949 Ford F5 stake body with a flathead V8. That old truck and I were made the same year and it was one monster of a truck. I was sad the day my dad parked it. He was not mechanical and we couldn’t afford a mechanic to fix it. It was an old beat up truck and we kids had repainted it a few times, with brushes and any old paint dad could find. After sitting a few ... read more >>

1973 Dodge W200 – Gary P.

Bought it in Tampa, FL, in March 1973. Took it to Fairbanks, AL, for three years where we drove in -60 degree temps. Brought my daughter home from the hospital in this truck. Went to Texas for nine years and then to northern Maine where we drove in extremely deep snow. I retired from the USAF in 1988 and returned to Texas where she brought home my daughter's baby from the hospital in 1998. There's no power anything on my truck. It has "arm-strong" steering, brakes with vacuum assist, 4 speed with Granny gear. Everything is original except the ... read more >>

1978 Ford F-150 – Nina H.

Nina’s love for Ford trucks began at 14 years old and has transferred to her 1978 Ford F150 4×4. Her father had a Ford that she was going to eventually drive after getting her license. Unfortunately her dad was driving on a loose Oklahoma dirt road and rolled it. The truck was totaled, but Nina was already hooked on Ford trucks. Her husband, Jim, has a passion for older vehicles and wanted to have a project, so he suggested that they start looking for a truck for Nina. In June 2015, Nina found her perfect truck that was not ... read more >>

1982 Dodge W350 – Ethan Bystrom

This Green Machine is a 1982 Dodge W350. I'm an 18 year old kid that spent the majority of his free time restoring it throughout high school. The truck was originally purchased new by my grandfather in 1982 for the purpose of pulling fertilizer spreaders and stock trailers. It has remained in the family and I was excited to get my hands on it. It was in poor shape after several times around the odometer (3-4 times, not sure exactly) and was plagued by hacked fixes on the body and copious amounts of cancer. I started work on the ... read more >>

1984 Chevy S10 – Jay Jones

This truck starts out as a lost cause. It had the typical shade tree fixes. I drove this truck home from Elizabethtown, KY, with the dog house held on by only two bolts, and the front springs were heated to drop the front which made for a very unstable ride. The truck was completely stripped down to frame and the build started there. I have a paint and body shop that I run during the day before going to work as a lead mechanic on 2nd shift. This truck was built from extra money I made in that shop. ... read more >>

1964 Chevy C20 – Matt Finlay

Seven years ago I was casually browsing Craigslist to find an inexpensive, beater truck for hauling parts to restore another car. Little did I know, I would be restoring two vehicles. One day a 1964 Chevy C20 popped up and it caught my eye. I wouldn’t say it was love at first sight, but the quirky yet classic style of this generation sealed the deal. The seller originally bought it to be a parts truck for his restoration, but he just couldn’t bear to destroy a perfectly running and driving truck. He was kind enough to share with me ... read more >>

1989 Dodge W250 – Darcy Brownell

When I turned 16 and got my permit I knew what my dream truck was. A first gen cummins! Next thing you know I bought my first truck and it was my dream truck. This truck is the dream color I finally just got it painted. The color is 2016 hellcat green. It's a 1989 Dodge W250 12 valve Cummins. I took it to my first truck show after I got it back from the paint shop and won 2 trophies that was the second best day of my life and the first was making this truck mine! ... read more >>
