In 1987 my Dad ordered a Silverado from Chevrolet and took good care of it, in 1996 I got the truck as he passed away. He lived in MN and I drove it back to FL and then began it's life with me. It had 70,000 miles on it when I got it and now has over 240,000 miles and the only thing that has changed is the 700R4 trans. I replaced it with another 700R4 at about 111,000 and this has been in it since. The engine is all original and runs great! I started to redo the truck ... read more >>

Greetings fellow truck lovers, I have been a total addict for anything with 4 wheels for as long as I can remember! I grew up riding in my grandfathers 1969 C10(which I still have). I also spent time with my other grandfather who was a big Dodge fan and I have his 1968 D100 shortbed. I was blessed to have learned from many things from very talented and wise relatives. The only unfortunate part is that I am the only one in the family to be passionate about car and truck collecting! So, ever since I got my first car(1968 ... read more >>

My grandfather was the original owner of this truck. He bought it mostly to use on his dairy farm and to pick up supplies in the city. Apparently, my two uncles used to use it as a Saturday night cruiser and apparently that old 307 v8 and 3 on the tree standard tranny was an awesome stop light drag racing combo. My grandfather always wondered why the back tires seemed to wear out faster than the front tires but had his suspicions. Well, the Canadian winters are hard on vehicles that get driven year round and eventually the original box ... read more >>

Grandpa bought it new. It was purchased to work, and used on the farm for many years. When Grandpa left the farm, he gave me the pickup. When I asked him if he expected me to restore it, he said,"No, you can drive the damn thing off of a cliff if you want to". I chose to not do that. It's not very pretty, and unfortunately it has lost even more paint having sat outside for quite a few years, but I love the patina, and the fact that it is a totally unrestored original survivor. So do lots of ... read more >>

I restored my truck 25 years ago and was forced to sell it as my former better half insisted I had too many toys and she wanted me to downsize my collection. I drove it down to a local Jeep dealership to find her a new car and the owner asked if I would be willing to trade my truck, 1 for 1, for a new wrangler 2 door jeep. I did...sure it was a great deal....but I have been kicking myself ever since. Three weeks ago and 25 years after I restored it, I decided to look online and ... read more >>
