When I was 13 years old I bought my first 1964 truck. It has 8 cylinder and automatic with 16 inch tires. The truck was used for farm truck and saved it’s life. I sanded the truck over summer to get it painted Omaha orange. And now the truck goes to cars shows.

Old and Tired Well I can definitely say this is my favorite truck I've ever had. 04 Chevy Silverado 3500 4x4, 8.1L. My parents purchased it new so my dad could use it in the oil field as a welding truck. Its seen a lot of rough terrain long drives to West Texas as far as Montana. Ill add Home is Texas. A few years later I offered to buy it from them, because it wasn't being used and my dad didn't want to tear it up in the oil patch. Since then it's been a good companion, we've ... read more >>

Reliving My Youth These trucks were all over in the later 90’s when I was in high school. They were cheap and parts were everywhere, I had a few as well but life got in the way and I always wanted to build another . About 2 years ago an elderly man in a local small town had this old GMC for sale, I stopped by his place on my way home from work , the truck was way rusty but the odometer only read 63,000 miles and it was actual, the truck was built in Janesville WI and ... read more >>

Brownie recipe This is the longest vehicle I have owned; some say I sell and trade vehicles like normal people change their underwear, but I’ve had “Brownie” since 2008. At the time, I had been working on converting a 66 Chevy Corvair Corsa into a drag car- 400 SBC in the front and all. I quickly realized I was in over my head even with Dad’s (Reed’s) help. A deal came across to trade “even" for this 84 GMC short bed with “really good bones” aka “Brownie.” Brownie wasn’t much to look at to say the least but had ... read more >>

Old Truck New Life This 1996 Chevy Silverado belonged to my father (picture #5). He used it in his farm and as a daily driver for several years. Then for a few years it sat in his barn. When my parents sold their farm I inherited the truck. I have owned it for seven years now and have done many alterations. I lowered it 2 inches and rebuilt the motor with cam, heads, headers, MSD ignition, power programmer and more. LMC made the job of replacing parts a lot easier. Picture #5 is what the truck looked like when ... read more >>
