Me and my dad custom picked and ordered the truck, 3/4 ton with 1 ton suspension (he didn’t want to pay the extra taxes for 1 ton) 4×4, flat bed dump with a snow plow and 2-barrel carb. He loved to save gas! He had it for 7 years and only put 6,000 miles on it. Then, he gave it to my brother, who put 3,000 miles on it. Then, my brother sold it to my buddy who put 150,000 hard miles on it with a tree cutting service. Then, he sold it to me in 1997 for 500 bucks and it sat for 7 years and rotted in the ground. I got a divorce and dragged it away. All 4 wheels were locked up. Good thing I didn’t have to drag it far. I stripped it down to the frame and running gear, cut all the dump crap off, found an old truck with a decent body, and I’ve been working on the truck for years and driving it. All the while, the original motor and transmission have not broke down. Fairly done with it, love it, drive it, did all the work on it myself. I think of dad every time I climb in it, I miss dad! You could set it on fire and roll it down a hill and I won’t trade it for a coup devil! Big Red rules! Adam 🤠
