Captain America

I am currently the owner of 5 vintage motorcycles (the number I own fluctuates), and I often loaded my motorcycles on a trailer, but I keep the trailer in the backyard and it always seems muddy when I want to use the trailer, so I decided to buy an older truck. I wanted something I could keep outside and not worry about. After a long search, I found a really nice, but dirty 1995 Ford F-150 with the 5.0 V8 and an automatic transmission. It only had 148,000 miles and was a one owner since new vehicle and the owner was in his 70’s. I had one very much like it before, but not in as nice shape, more miles, with a 6 cylinder and a manual transmission.

In Army flight school I had a brown 76 Ford Grenada we called “Chocolate Thunder (The rolling wonder)”, and when I got this truck, my old Army buddies said I had to name this truck. So since it is gold in color, and American made, I decided on “Captain America” (America’s Golden Boy). I cleaned it really good inside and out, removed the old window tint, installed a new air conditioner, removed the toolbox and running boards, installed new window tint, and lowered it 2″ in the back so it rides level and is easier to load motorcycles. I also got the Captain America front plate and rear license frame, a Bluetooth MP3 player, trailer wiring, and a drop hitch receiver in case I want to tow. I already drove it from Oklahoma to NW Arkansas to deliver one of my motorcycles for repair. I expect another Arkansas trip again soon.
