Cochise – 1964 Ford F100

At 8-years-old I learned to drive in a ‘64 F100 that was on my grandfather’s farm. Every summer, as part of the reward for working and plowing for him, I got to drive the ‘64. The summer after I turned 18, I was going to ask to buy it from my grandfather, but he had sold it. I never forgot about that truck.

After my dad passed away, I inherited his Ford Ranger that I was planning on driving indefinitely. Someone ran a red light and totaled it. I wanted to replace the sentimental value of the Ranger with something I always wanted.

I got this ‘64 F100 as a way to remember my dad and his dad. It’s my daily driver. I call it Cochise.
