Bringing my very first vehicle purchase back to life!

My dad and I drove to Warsaw, MO where I purchased this 1957 Chevrolet Truck in 1982 as a sophomore in high school. It had already gone through its first transformation when I found it- housing a 350 with a 4-speed manual transmission. After college I parked the truck behind a barn on our family farm in southeast Kansas until its resurrection began in 2015. My wife and I began to take it apart piece by piece as the 5yr resto-mod project got underway. The ground-up, finished product now holds a new TCI full chassis, 6.2L GM crate LS376/525 engine, 4L70 6-speed automatic transmission, 9 inch posi-free 3.70 gear ratio, 4-link coil over suspension, power brakes/steering, Magnaflow dual exhaust, Vintage front runner system with A/C, power windows, American Racing wheels, Nitto Extreme 285/50/ZR18, 305/35/R20.

It wasn’t always fun; but now it’s done! Those of you that have tackled a restoration know that feeling and sense of accomplishment! I can’t take the smile off of my face and we love “getting the groceries” in it!

Many thanks to my wife, Jody, for her love and support for letting me build my dream car! Special thanks to my father-in-law, Bill, for his direction, tools, and shop time!

Also recognition to: John W. (body/paint); Tallant’s Hot Rod Shop and Seems to be Upholstery, LMC Truck.
