Mechanical Engineer

I cut hay on an old farm and there has always been an old pickup inside the barn. This year, when I went to spray for weeds, I noticed the barn was in bad shape. Not wanting it to fall on the pickup, we messaged the owner, who is in her nineties and offered to move it for her or buy it. She asked who was interested and I told her my son. I added he was big into math and mechanics and she said that she’d like to give it to him because maybe he’d turn out to be a Mechanical Engineer. I had forgotten, but her late husband, the previous owner had worked as a Mechanical Engineer for NASA in the Sixties for their rocket program. Now his legacy lives on as my eleven year old takes this 67 F100 apart and restores it, one piece at a time.
