Dad’s 76

I grew up with this pickup. My dad and I hauled many loads of firewood and memories that I will have for many years ❤️ Dad passed almost two years ago and when the dust settled the family ask what I wanted of Dad’s and I said I wanted Dad’s 76.
My brother hauled her over here from Idaho where she sat in one of Dads shops for over 15 years. Every time I came home for a visit I’d ask Dad if I could buy her and same answer, no going to fix it when I get time. It took me a full winter of replacement of almost everything underneath, pots and trany and case were good but everything else was definitely wore out! Motor had water problems so put a new long block 390 back in her. My happy day Dance was when dmv let me get the license and title done and I ask if anyone had the personal plate with Dads 76 and they said no, and I got to have it!!! It was the icing on the cake! Only thing that would of topped that would of wish Dad was here to drive her. Lot of hours and late nights in my ol hay barn working on her but a lot of great memories of Dad.
