Never Give Up

I was given a 1966 chevrolet c10 SWB when I was 11 (1984) from my great uncle who bought it brand new.
I drove it until I was 16 when I wrecked it.
Dad sold it, and the guy who got it patched it back together and drove it a couple more years. However, he was tragically killed in a car wreck in a dang s-10 pickup.
The truck sat in a field for 25+ years, and when I was finally able to get it back, it was too far gone….The only usable parts were some of the dash components, and maybe one bedside. The frame is still bent from where I wrecked it in 1989!
The Wife saw my dreams fading of having a 64-66 c10, and convinced me to buy a different one. I found this from a great guy in Georgia. It wasn’t 100 percent but dang close!
It’s not a show truck but a fun driver, and I tinker with it almost every weekend!
I was able to use my old trucks ignition switch and key, and the rear view mirror so I can look into the past in that mirror!!
While it’s not the one I grew up in, its still a great way to enjoy something similar to my ole 66!
