Beautiful Beast

I fell in love with the dentsides from working on the couple my dad had for work trucks in his construction company. From about 11 years old I knew one day I was gonna build one but didn’t know when. Well I’m now 38 and I found my 1977 crew cab for sale in Connecticut which is about 6 hours from me but nothing was gonna stand in my way. After talking to the owner he informed me that it was an original Arizona truck and he was the second owner. He daily drove it while it was the red color in the pictures. I never tried to hagle him instead I gave him what he was asking and loaded her up for the haul to her new forever home. After I got home I started ripping it apart the same day. I was trying to work all day at my construction company doing concrete work and work on the truck every chance I got. I also involved my 4 sons when they had free time. The grey 79 in the pictures was restored by my oldest son for when he turned 16 with a little help from me lol. After about a month of working on my 77 covid 19 happened and I was not able to go to work. I was definitely ok with this cause it gave me more time in the garage. I did a complete frame off restoration in 6 1/2 months. I built 460 into a 514 cu and had it dynoed at 720hp and 660tq. I did kingpin dana 60 front and ford 10 1/4 rear with 5:13 gears, air lockers, and disc brakes. I also rebuilt the c6 tranny to handle the power I put to it. I lifted the truck using a skyjacker 6″ lift and a 3″ body lift so the valve covers would clear the factory a/c box. I used LMC parts to do 95% of the build on my truck and my sons. I couldn’t be happier with the service and with the way the parts fit the trucks. If you would like to see more pictures you can follow my Instagram @77_ford_crew_cab I look forward to building more when my other boys are at the age to start driving. Thanks for reading my story
