Ol’ Blue

When it was time, our son drove the 73′ to school. Upgrades were made to make it safe and reliable. From 1996 until 1999 the 73′ was driven to school, football practice, games for 3 years. By 1999 our son had moved on to college and the truck was parked again. In 2017 my cousin an expert mechanic got the Ol’ 73 running. It has sat from 1999 until 2017. Brakes, fuel lines, gas tank were replaced or repaired, the motor a 4.9 300 6 Cyl. ran o.k. but needed some work, my cousin made it run like a sewing machine again.
Then came the decision about the body and paint and interior. That’s when I found LMC 1973-1979 Ford truck catalog and it became possible to make a 1973 Ford F250 look really good again.
My Grandson picked out the color, LMC supplied many of the new parts and a really good body shop ( Randy’s Body Shop, Eden, N.C. ) painted inside and out and transformed and average, rusted 73′ Ford Truck to what you see today and with the expert help of LMC customer support , my grandson will have a like new 1973 Ford F250 4×4 long bed to drive to school like his dad once did. Thank you LMC for your expert help with parts that were hard to find.
And thank you LMC for supplying many part’s for our grandson dream of driving the same truck his dad once drove to school become reality. My grandson picked out the 75/76 grill insert, which will fit the 73 grill shell, I think he made a very good choice, makes the Ol’ 73 look sharp. In time I will install the original 73 grill insert.
