I found my truck at a small car lot in 2014. The truck is a 99 Ranger step-side. It was painted a flat black and originally had white wall tires with a few alterations in the interior. He planned a ‘rat-rod’ look. I owned the truck for a few years when I met the guy that did the work to it at a swap meet. He told me how he did the customizations in a high school shop class. The truck is pretty much stock yet I’m complimented almost everywhere I go in it. I’ve always had a good vibe with the truck (some things just feel right). It’s been swapped between my brother and I over the years. The truck has recently returned back to me from my brothers use. Many admirers have said: “that’s a good truck, something special there”. My best memory though is how touched the guy was to see his old truck. He asked to sit in it which I obliged. He said the truck belongs to another but his memories with it are his. He thanked me for caring for it.
