Find It, Keep It

In 1999, I decided that I wanted to buy another truck, and I wasn’t really crazy about the looks of the newer Ford F-150’s. So, I decided on the end of the model 1996. After a lot of searching, thanks to my wife and the internet, I found what I wanted. It was a 1996 Ford F-150 XLT, 351W 5.8 liter engine, 4×4, automatic trans, short bed. I bought it and have had it ever since. But, as time passes and aging sets in, things change, things wear out and paint fades.
A couple of years ago, I decided to bring it back to the original state. The original paint colors are Pacific Green and Silver Frost Acrylic Metallic Lacquers. The wheels, interior, and engine are all original.
I did install a K&N fuel injection performance kit and a Gibson performance exhaust system, trying to increase gas mileage (it worked – 3 more miles per gallon).
Thanks to LMC for having the parts over the years.
Keep them on the road!
