Unexpected inheritance

Long story short, I was gifted this beautiful 1991 Chevy S-10 Tahoe for the purchase price of $100. I’ve been taking care of “Mary Ellen” for some time now. Retired school teacher who’s late husband Gene, was a mechanic. Along with 2 other ladies that work for her, she wanted to add me to her will. She never had any children and greatly appreciates us. Well as time went by we never got around to the details of this. But I had expressed interest in the truck and wanted to give it a good home. So one day she said “I’d like to give you the truck”. I said “Oh great, for the price that we had discussed … right?” She said “no … for $100 instead of putting you in the will”. Well after I dried my eyes I ever so gratefully thanked her and told her that I’d take good care of it. She purchased it in ’92 with little over 8k miles. 28 garage kept years later I had keys in my hand with only 26,490 miles for the next chapter. She runs like a champ. Sat for the last 2 years. But a new installed battery had her up and running in the blink of an eye. A few days later and a great detail job (thanks Chad) she’s almost show ready. Going to replace some wheel well trim and a new head liner soon. Her husband Gene would be proud to see how well kept she’s been. Thank you so much Mary Ellen you are the best.
