My GMC Pickup

I met an old man in a airport where we both were waiting for our flight and started talking about where we were from. I was telling him that I lived in a remote part of canada ( ungava bay Quebec ) he then mentioned that he had this old truck that would be perfect for me and that this truck of his was in very good shape, so my next question was what kind of truck is it, he replied that it was a GMC920 CAMPER CRUISER 1967 and that it was a 3/4 ton truck. He seemed very honest and convincing about this truck of his, so I told him that I was going to buy it. Without even knowing what it looked like or what it was I told him that I was going to give him a down payment for him to keep the truck for me so I made him a check on the spot. We exchanged our names and phone numbers and told him that i would be calling him as soon as my trip was over. I don’t know why but it seemed like a good idea at the time. Well believe it or not I had totally forgot about this old man, about two months had gone by and the phone rang and this old fellow asked me when was I going to pick this truck. I told him how sorry I was about this but I told him that I had to go to Montreal in the next few weeks and that I was going to go through Quebec city to pick it up and got all excited about this truck that I had purchased with even knowing what it looked like at the time. I’m going to be very honest here, when I walked into the barn and saw this truck I was stunned, there it was just sitting there in all its myth, gave the old man the rest of what I had to pay on it and asked him ( with humour would I make it to Montreal without any problems and he replied with this serious look, let me tell you something boy when you get to where you are going give a call, so off I went, it was early December and very wet outside turned on the wipers and tried to turn on the fan but that did not work, so I had to drive 250 miles with a roll of scotty wiping the humidity off the inside of the windshield so that I could see where I was going. So the next morning after this long journey I took off the fan to see why it wasn’t working and to my suprise the fan was just stuck in leaves and pine cones, some one had moves in squirrels I guess I had no choice but to laugh my head off. I’ve had this truck for about twelve years now and some times when I turn the fan on there are still leaves that come out of the grill this truck is so tough and to this day amaze me every time I use it.
