I purchased the truck about 16 months ago with it’s original inline 6 and 3sp on the column. My nephew (mechanic) and I (mechanically inclined), began the LS conversion. Junkyard 5.3, torgue converter, stage 3 cam, Holly terminator and 3″ exhaust. Drop spindles and lowered. Truck Rallys with center caps and rings. Posi-rear and flowmasters completed the job. Two weeks later, while stopped to turn into my community, I was struck in the rear by an 18 year old girl who never touched her brakes. My head struck cab and left eye retina detached. Currently without the use of my left eye, but 100% repairable. I did not have an “agreed value” policy yet, but with receipts, insurance agreed to fix. Frame currently being straighten, cab pulled out, and bed replaced. Behind the seat tank is history. Body shop work has been painfully slow, but I have faith. I’ll be BACK.
