SuperFummins

Growing up my dad always had a dent side truck around. Watching him build hundreds of them over my childhood. One truck in particular stood out to me. In the mid 90s my dad build a 1979 f350 4wd supercab. I never got to see the truck in it’s prime. He sold it just before I was born. But a picture of it hung above my bed and still does to this day. I wanted a truck just like it. When I was about 10 years old I had a dream of a truck. It was a 79 supercab but it wasn’t my dads it was different. It was my own version  of it. After that about every night it was the same dream showing more and more about the truck. Down to all the details. When I was 14 I was in my way to the movies with my mom and we passed a junk yard. One truck stood out to me like it was destiny. I knew instantly that was the truck in my dream. I ended up buying the truck shortly after. Now the hard part. Full restoration but my way. Stripped the truck completely down to 2 frame rails and 3 crossmembers had it sand blasted then off the the body shop to make it slick. Every nut and bolt in the truck was replaced. Every piece in the truck detailed to my spec. I wanted a show truck out of it but it would be built as a driver. With a truck I wanted to drive in mind I needed a updated engine. I knew diesels were the up and coming thing so that’s what I wanted. I built a 98 12 valve cummins turbo diesel that makes +750hp (for now) and a 5 speed transmission. When I was 17 my truck was completed hours before my first scheduled show. First show I was chosen to do a magazine shoot for Ultimate Diesel Builders Guide making the cover a few months later. Since then I’ve never stop improving the truck making it more powerful and reliable. I do have one rule with my truck and I do NOT trailer it to shows. I drive the truck. No matter the distance. Just to prove it’s not a trailer queen and to prove I did build it as a driver. So far my farthest show was Daytona beach last June which is about a 16 hour drive. Truck did it with flying colors. Plan on going to that show again. So here I am 21 years old now trying to keep the classics on the road.
