My old ‘52 F1

About 40 yrs ago, I used to visit an old friend at his farm in Western Maryland and threw it out to him that if he ever wanted to sell it, to let me know. He said that if he ever got old (he was already old) he would. So, one day, he called me over and said to give him $300 and I could have it. It sits outside all the time uncovered and looks the same now as it ever did. 30 years ago, I pulled the old flat head out (we used to call them boat anchors..now, everybody wants them again) and replaced it with a buddy’s ‘65 Galaxy 352 with it’s C4 transmission. It’s a real stump puller and the old Sanford & Sons has always been a crowd pleaser. Years ago, the classic car companies said it looked too rough to insure, but now, they all want to cover the original rat rod. I put the old Moons on. After a blizzard, one time, “The Beast” was the only vehicle that could get up the road to get to the store to get groceries for all my neighbors.
