A Scottsdale rebirth

In 1982 my grandfather purchased a Chevrolet c10 Scottsdale off the lot. This truck came with a 305 backed by a 700r4. Interior equipped with manual windows, locks and only the AM radio. Vinyl floor with no plastic trim inside. Bare bones. In 2001 he parked it behind his barn and purchased a new truck. I constantly pestered him on what he would do with the c10. On January 7th 2007, at age 15, he handed me the keys to the c10 and made me promise to take care of it. I took the truck home and started a frame off restoration. I set the body on a 1984 k20 frame, added a 383 stroker motor and stuck true to the 700r4 trans backed by an np208 t-case. 8” suspension lift with 38.5” tires. Interior is now carpet floor with custom headliner, and all plastic trim. Unfortunately, he passed away before the build was complete. But he did get to see it mid-way with the motor set in and running. The smile on his face that day as I fired it up with open headers will stay with me forever. In June 2013, the now 4×4 ¾ ton Scottsdale made its first drive through town. I will never forget that feeling. I could not have completed this build without LMC Truck. Body panels, weather stripping, and down to every nut and bolt, LMC Truck had what I needed.
