I always loved the side step ’67-’72 C10s as a teen. But as an adult, I realized that the fleetside short bed was far more awesomer. I found a long bed heap of rust for $1500 and dragged it home in 2015. As usual, it took much longer and cost much more than I had planned. I shortened the frame and found a new short bed. I swapped in an LQ9 and 4L65E from a late model Silverado with Holley Terminator ECU. Disk brakes, Riddler 20 inch wheels, wood bed, 350Z copper paint, one piece windows, LMC A/C system, American Auto wire harness, aluminum fuel tank, lowered 5/3, VHX gauges, and tons of LMC sourced parts.
