This truck is a 1967 K20. It’s been a 19-year project, or quest, if you will. I finished it up about three years ago, and now I’m basically starting to do the formal scene attending local car shows in the area.

The truck is a 4-wheel drive with 1-ton axles. It has a big block Chevy engine with fuel injection and a 4-speed manual transmission. And obviously a lot of black paint. There are quite a few LMC Truck parts included on the build.

I chose this particular truck because I had its twin in high school, and I basically wore it out. I was trying to rebuild something I had once upon a time with so many fond memories.

The truck started out as a two-wheel drive camper special model. It just happened to work out that I came across all the parts to make it into a 4-wheel drive model. It is kind of a fantasy truck with the best combination of parts and accessories. It wasn’t necessarily this way from the factory, but we found all the appropriate GM parts to complete the conversion and make it presentable.

I like to think it’s something unique and that it stands out at the car shows. The best part of this project is enjoying it with my Family and adding up the miles along the way.
