I purchased my truck about 7 years ago when it had 160,000 miles on it and needed a lot of TLC. It is a 1996 and currently has 230,000 miles. In another couple years it’ll hit 250,000 and will proudly be able to say it has a quarter of a million miles on it!

Over the years I’ve made many cosmetic and mechanical upgrades (tint, complete audio, wheels, tires, grille, lights, shocks, drive terrain components, etc). The truck has been very reliable, usually only costing me on average $500 a year in maintenance. However, just because it looks good, doesn’t mean it doesn’t put in a lot of daily work. It gets used to haul everything from boats to loads of dirt.

My brother in law owns a 1997. It’s great having 2 identical trucks in the family. We are able to share maintenance/modification tips and we let the other know when we cross mileage milestones (it’s a slight competition). The 90’s Chevy trucks are the best looking and best built trucks GM ever made and I wouldn’t dream of trading it for a new model. I love this truck!
