Truck had been sitting at a local repair shop for about two years. Turns out the owner didn’t have the money to repair the transmission. I stopped a few times over the years and finally the lady that owed the truck decided to sell it, she bought it new. At first I was going to just get it running and try to make little money. Well one thing lead to another and it turned out to be a full frame off restoration.

I needed a running gear so I went with a 2002 Tahoe 5.3 and a 4L60E motor and trans. The transmission was rebuilt. The engine had 140k miles on it. I tore it down to short block and cylinders looked like new, no lip and could still see cross hatch pattern. I went with a Texas Speed 212/2/18 cam upgrade along with new push rods, springs, oil pump, water pump and replaced every sensor on the engine, cam, crank etc…Also went with a Eaton pos 3:73 rear.

Topped it off with a sheet metal intake and ceramic coated headers with Hooker stainless exhaust. Finally painted to math truck and looks and runs awesome. I wanted to build a daily driver that would be very dependable. Changed the original instrument cluster to a Dakota Digital to monitor everything. Still in progress as I have dash installed but still working on glass and the rest of the interior. Plan is to try and sell and maybe help with daughters college expense.
Check your sales, I bought all from LMC!!
