I looked several years for a ‘slant-nose SWB’ truck…that will be 30 years ago this Labor Day.

It’s, of course, an ongoing project but its been ‘gone through’ from one end to the other and in no small part from your extraordinary parts and service.

I had it painted DuPont ‘Torch Red’ in 1991, after seeing a trailer of the new 1990 ZR1 Corvettes coming through Kentucky, and it’s never been in the rain since…always inside and covered…a Family Member.

My son was 3 years old when I bought it and rode home with me as mom followed us…. he held the carriage-head bolts down so I could buy them up when I replaced the bed with new oak.

4-bolt main 383” stroker around 450hp with Edelbrock Performer RPM top-end kit, MSD 6AL w/Pro Billet dist., 750cfm Holley 4150, Hooker ProComp headers, built Turbo 350 w/3000 stall, custom TIG’d stainless exhaust with x-pipe and remote stainless cutouts, 12-bolt 4:11 posi, tubular trailing arms with custom 2” lowering springs/shocks, front disc/rear finned-drums, power steering, power antenna, custom stereo, and custom seat upholstery.
