This is my second K5. It started out pink in Colorado. The shop that sold it to me had painted it orange. I painted it Tahitian Teal. Ragged, it wouldn’t drive straight and barely stopped. The tires were split all the way around. I coordinated an effort to replace engine, transmission, differentials, bearings, steering gear and linkages, etc. Then I had it painted and Tropical Thunder was born as a 67-68 K5. Now, the tires roast at will from a stop, and can be encouraged to peel at around 25mph. A full roller engine with EFI and it can be tuned from the dash. It’s always for sale, but the price is now higher than most will pay. Here’s to LMC and hot rodding. Thanks for the help creating this smile maker of a truck.
