My name is Jill, and I’m Todd K.’s daughter and this is his truck story. This truck had been in our family for many years now, my grandfather Wayne bought this truck brand new in 1979. This was his daily driver to work everyday to and from the cheese factory in Winchester, Ontario. He always talked about how he loved that truck and how it was a very reliable truck for him all those years he drove it. Although he loved the 79 it was time for him to get a newer truck so he went out and bought another ford truck in 1994. That’s when he decided to give the old truck to my dad even though it wasn’t in great shape but still in running condition. My dad is a mechanic with his own business he then decided to keep the truck restore himself and keep it in our family. He had that truck in our garage for as long as I can remember in pieces him working on it every chance he got between having a family and a job a new home and side businesses fixing old cars up he was always busy doing something. This truck took about 10 years to perfect but it was well worth the wait. Every nut and bolt was taken off of this truck and replaced, he got the box from Atlanta Georgia and the doors, fenders, hood, tailgate and parts from Ford and LMC. There was a 351M in the truck when he got it and he replaced it with a 429 and added a B&M ratchet shifter. This truck was never used as a daily driver once my dad restored its a classic and it has a lot of sentimental value to us. My dad also drove me to my wedding in this truck and that will always be so special to me.

This truck has been in the Kirkwood family for 39 years and now we hope that it always stays in our family from generation to generation.
