A truck is more than just a way to get from point A to point B. A truck tells the story of its owner. For example, a beaten-up, ’96 F350 could tell the story of a hardworking person who values what’s under the hood rather than outside of it. My truck is no different, a ’97 Chevy S10, with a custom paint job. It tells my story.

My truck is more than just a flaming piece of metal and rubber. It is a beautiful vessel in which I spend a lot of time every day. Most trucks these days have a part that is not necessary in good weather. A roof. Whenever I need some fresh air, I just take off that pesky item. Many times I have been asked if I would get rid of the flames on the hood. Each time I answer, “Probably not.” It took some getting used to, but those flames are a part of me now, just like the truck.

A truck is more than just a tool. The engine, the axles, the wheels and countless other important parts have to work together. That could be seen as a metaphor for life as well. Everybody, no matter the ethnicity, religion and country has to cooperate in order for life to move in a positive direction. A truck is more than a tool; it is a symbol of life.
