AWARENESS IS THE FOCUS

My name is Buzz Pilgrim and I am a cancer survivor. This is my story about my 1951 Ford pickup.

I tried for 25 years to buy this 1951 Ford from my Uncle Lee, who bought the truck in 1973 in Snakeriver, ID. My Uncle Lee passed away from cancer, so the truck went to his son Tom. I finally bought the truck from Tom. Tom passed away from cancer shortly afterwards.

With both my uncle and cousin passing away from cancer, that gave me the idea to restore the 1951 Ford. I chose breast cancer because with early detection it can be cured and can save lives.

Rick Lawrence, Uncle Lee’s nephew and my cousin, spent 3 years restoring the truck. I would like to thank Rick Lawrence for the mechanic work, Guy Crawford for the paint job and time, and our five drunk rednecks who did the body work. We hope lives can be saved by awareness. I would like to thank LMC Truck for all the parts to restore this 1951 Ford truck.
