I bought the truck from Halliburton Oil Company for $800 at a local auction. I own a diesel repair and custom build shop and never had time for my own projects. The truck ended up sitting around the shop parking lot for over 2 years before I decided to axle swap it and convert it to a 4×4. It then sat around for almost another year before I came across a mint condition dually bed and decided it was time to do something with it.

I finally made a dedicated spot in the back corner of the shop and started tearing it down to the frame. I ended up using 2016 axles and coil suspension for a better ride than old leaf springs. I replaced all the interior and upgraded the seats to 2010 black leather. I rebuilt the engine and transmission, making the truck our new shop truck for pulling a trailer and hauling parts.

It’s been a blast driving around the country picking up customer’s trucks for custom builds and getting to meet all of our followers. It’s been an awesome representation of what my shop does to these old Ford trucks and lets people see in person just how great these old trucks can still be.
