When I turned 16 I knew a Chevy truck would be in my future. My dad had a 2003 Chevy Silverado Z71 with 70,000 miles. So I came across this 1994 K1500 4×4 stepside and I knew it was perfect for me. When we went to look at it, it was just your average beat up 20-year-old Chevy. The truck made the long 2 hour drive home. My family thought I was crazy for getting it. I put 1100 miles on the truck in the first 2 weeks. Now 3 years later I’m still driving it.

It has 268,000 miles and I’ve replaced the grill, headlights, mirrors, wheels and tires, tinted windows, leveling kit, front bumper, hood, added a visor, rebuilt the engine and transmission, front suspension, rebuilt the TBI and just maintained it. Changing the oil every 3,000 miles really makes all the difference. This truck has been what I’ve blown all my paychecks on, spent all my time fixing in the garage with dad and was in my senior pictures. It’s not my daily driver and I don’t drive it in the winter. I’m going to hold onto this truck for a long time and I want my future son to drive this to his prom. Thanks LMC Truck for letting me share my story!
