In 1979 my uncle bought this truck brand new and it was his daily driver for years. In the mid 80’s he put a sprayer in the back and it was the sprayer on the farm for years until the rear diff failed and it was parked for nearly 20 years. When I was 15 my uncle told me if I got it running I could have it. With just a fresh battery and some fresh gas, it fired right up after sitting for nearly 20 years. After getting it home I started on what became a 5-year long frame off restoration process. Over the next five years, I spent countless hours working on it rebuilding the original engine, trans, transfer case, front and rear differentials and redoing the interior and repainting it myself in the farm shop I have a truck to enjoy for years to come.
