This truck belonged to a family friend who bought it new in 1982 at a local Chevrolet dealership here in San Antonio. He lived and worked in downtown SA so he didn’t put a bunch of miles on it – it actually has only 58K on the ticker.

He passed away in 2008 and the truck sat in the garage until I bought it in 2014 and began a 2 year frame on restoration doing all the work myself. I wanted to keep the original paint scheme going and did my best to keep the truck as close to factory as possible . I used PPG Base / Clear 4 coats each and did sand and buff as well.

I also built a custom 2 piece bed cover that is removable and a matching seat combo for the tailgate.

I wanted the look of a 4 wheel drive so I raised the front 1″ and widened the stance 2′ all around with custom billet spacers.

I freshened up the 300 HP Vette motor that he had put in it and did every bit of suspension work and of course new 2 piece driveshaft, brakes, shocks, steering box and linkage system, etc. It does have the 700r4 4 speed auto and every option available at the time!

The only thing left to address is the control valve for the twin tanks – running on the right only.

The truck gets a lot of attention and from what I understand you don’t see a lot of the Black / Silver combo.

The best part for me is that he used to work with my father who has long passed and they both rode in it together for work.

I also have a copy of the original title from 1982.

All new interior and I did build the seat upholstery myself.
