This is my 1981 Ford F-150 that my dad bought as a sophomore in high school. At the time it was a two tone blue and silver with a 302. By the time he was out of college, he had lifted it 4 inches, put 32 inch tires on it, replaced the 302 with a rebuilt 351W, and many other things.

After he was married and had kids it was put away in the barn for about 15 years. When I was 14 I noticed it and we pulled it out so I could mess around with it. Now, 3 years later, I have shortened the frame to replace the rusted out long box with a rust-free Texas short box, painted it black, replaced the 3 speed automatic with a 4 speed manual, and redone the interior.

I’ve done all this myself so I have learned a lot about bodywork, mechanics, and persistence along the way. It feels good to have something I can call mine and know I’ve done all the work. I would also like to thank LMC Truck for all the parts they have supplied along the way to bring this pickup back to life.
