Our 1979 Chevy 4×4 is named “Cinnamon Girl” after the Neil Young song because of her color, the classic golden brown with very light metalflake. We have been working on her about 20 years, fixing, restoring and upgrading everything from bumper to bumper. The engine is a new 540 Dart “Big M” block, turning almost 700 horsepower. The beefed-up drive train includes Muncie 4 speed manual transmission and a Centerforce 3 clutch. The Warn 8274 winch is mounted on a custom made chrome bumper built from scratch to match what was available 35 years ago, but we couldn’t find now. We made the bumper from scrap structural steel and did all fabricating ourselves. The interior and many components are restoration parts from LMC truck- thank you! The lift is custom made as well, to provide good handling and support the horsepower load. She has dual batteries, dual fuel pumps, and many backup systems to keep her going, and get back home again. She hauls lumber, construction equipment and tools and works hard, not just all play. She will be in our family forever!
