Our son got this truck at age 15. He drove it for several years, then he decided to rebuild the truck and had a 427 big block built for it. He started doing a straight axle swap but on Sept. 15, 2016, he had a car accident that took his life at age 26.

After we somewhat pulled ourselves together, word spread fast in our little community that we were going to finish Kirk Rose’s dream. In February we started on the frame off rebuild with family, friends and community members. Over 55 people helped on Sunday afternoons. We all came up with a name for the truck, Rollin for Rosie, as Kirk’s nickname was Rosie. We had a goal of finishing by September 1, 2017, for our hometown festival parade, of which the theme was Rollin for Rosie.

The night before the parade at 1 am, we ran it down the road for the first time. The next day we had a parade float with all the workers that helped on the truck. Now we take the truck to shows and parades in memory of Kirk Rose. We hope someday the truck will make a 4×4 magazine- he would be so proud that he brought friends and family together to finish his dream. Thanks to all for the support.
