My family has always been big into cars and trucks. My dad has a ’66 pickup and my brother a ’57 Chevrolet. I always wanted to do a father/son project with my dad, and I got the chance a couple years ago when we started a frame off on a 1967 C10. Put a brand new 350HO with 700R4 behind it and post rear end with 3/73 gears. Got the buddy buckets restored for the inside and did custom speaker/sub box.

We finished it during the truck’s 50th anniversary year and when my dad was 67 years old. I also had help from my two boys -ages 3 and 1. It had its ups and downs but was a great experience altogether. The project lasted 3 years and a lot of time and money went into it, but it was all worth it when my dad and my two boys and I took it for a drive together for the first time.
