I purchased my 1966 F-100 in 1989 in Canyon Lake, CA. Soon after my family headed out of CA in search of a place to call home. After traveling and camping the Northwest we settled in the small town of Redmond, OR, on the outskirts of Bend. Here the F-100 was the backbone of Level Eleven Construction. She went by the name Betsy and hauled many loads of lumber helping build beautiful homes.

The company outgrew her and she was replaced by a small fleet of F-350 Power Strokes. Betsy was retired to the farm, put out to pasture as you would say. The kids used her to learn to drive, haul hay and make weekly runs to the feed store. Soon the kids were off to college and the truck sat for many years in the back acreage. Many a passersby would offer to purchase the truck but I could never bring myself to sell.

Then in 2013, we started a complete rebuild from the ground up. She was fitted with a custom 302, power steering and all the bells and whistles. Once my dad and I finish some final interior work she will be complete. Betsy is still in Oregon soon to be relocated to the Blue Ridge mountains of Georgia where she and I will retire along the Toccoa River. Betsy and I will wait patiently for grandchildren to be born and visit. When my grandchildren and I ride the dirt road along the Toccoa River I will share the stories of Betsy and tell them how she has been, and always will be, a part of this family.
