I was the second owner of my truck which I purchased in 2001. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2011 and decided to sell the truck and purchase a motorhome to see the country before I died. In 2014 I decided I wanted my truck back so I started looking for it. The person I sold it to only kept it for a short time then sold it to a disabled Navy veteran. After two years of searching I found it had been sold to a disabled Navy veteran, with the help of a lot of people and social media I finally tracked him down and gave him a call. Turns out he could not drive the truck because of bad knees and the standard shift transmission and had only driven it two times in all the years he owned it. It had sit under a big oak tree and looked really bad. I offered to trade my Ford automatic truck for the Dodge back and we worked a deal. After weeks of cleaning, adjusting and lots of paint and polish I now have it back to my standards. I am still batteling cancer but it doesn’t look good but at least I will be a happy trucker until my time comes and then it will be passed down to my son so he can enjoy it as I do.
