The 79 K10 belonged to my grandfather who purchased it new. He was a doctor so it wasn’t driven much except for hunting and fishing. He ordered it with Silverado trim, 400 motor and roll up windows. The roll up windows are pretty rare on Silverados but that’s the way he wanted it for simplicity. Its sat parked behind our house from about 1982 to about 1994. I inherited it and the full transformation began. Original motor was rebuilt using Comp cam, Hyperuetectic pistons with double hump heads and all body and interior parts were supplied by LMC. I aquired the GMC about 3 years ago from the original owner is Seattle Washington. After yanking the original motor and installing a fresh 350 I still was satisfied. It now has a honking 396 out of a 66 Chevelle SS and a 4inch lift with SM365 Tranny. I couldnt’t have put these trucks together without LMC!
