I bought my truck from my Grandpa in 2010 and he bought her new in ‘97. I bought her with 45,000 miles on her. Unfortunately she was wrecked in December of 2010 but this allowed me to acquire her. She was T-boned on the passenger side as Grandpa was coming home with a load of wood. Luckily no one was hurt and I was able to begin her restoration. Her restoration took over a year to complete and was a whole family activity. Dad helped me sand and showed me much of the mechanics. My neighbor Larry spent many evenings helping me weld and showing me the basics of body work. Mom helped me clean and shampoo the entire interior of my truck, and even spent a thanksgiving with me covered in bed liner painting my truck bed. My Grandparents would keep me motivated and ask for updates. Now it has been 6 years since I’ve owned her I’ve almost doubled the mileage, and made many memories on the road. She’s what I learned most of my mechanical skills on, which alone will be life lessons I will carry with me forever.
