It all started a couple months after my 14th birthday. My grandfather called me and told me to come over to his house. Little did I know that I would be going home with a new to me and my first truck? He bought the truck brand new back November of 1991 and it’s been in the family ever since. It was woodland/forest green, the paint was bad faded and the interior wasn’t in the best of shape with the dash being cracked and the seats and door panels being ripped.
The first thing I done when I got it back to the house was I made a list of all the modifications and ideas I had to make it into a clean daily driver. The first things on the list and first couple of mods I did to it was I gave it an altitude adjustment on a 3/4 static drop. I also added a Kenwood stereo with Kenwood 4×6 dash speakers and 4×10 rear speakers followed by 2 12 inch kicker comp subs powered by an alpine 500 watt monoblock amp.

The truck stayed this way until I was 15 and had saved up enough money to do some body and paint work to it as well as some exterior modifications. I wanted to paint the truck 2 of my favorite colors so it got a two tone of blue and silver. I bought a new chrome front bumper, all clear parking lights, comer lights and taillights from LMC truck as well as the smooth tailgate skin and handle relocate kit and roll pan. I changed out the stock grille to the phantom grille that hid the lights behind the grille. With having fresh paint now and new chrome pieces it was time to complement the truck with some new wheels. I added chrome 20×8.5 ridler 695s on it to give it a very clean look.

Next on the list was to freshen up the interior. I was 16 now. I had the seat, dash, door panels, and headliner all redone and rewrapped in black suede and leather with silver stitching and silver painted inserts. I had the door panel pockets shaved and had a Chevy bow tie embroidered into the panel. All the interior trim was replaced with new black trim and added new black carpet. I took out the stock steering wheel and replaced it with a billet steering wheel, shifter, and billet window cranks to bring it all together.

The truck stayed in this state until October 2014. Now being 17 I wanted to get the truck down a lot lower. I bought the accuair switchspeed system, kp components 6link cantilever, thorbros 8 pc step notches, 8 gallon airtank, 2 viar 480 compressors, airlift dominator 2500 bags for the front and 2600s for the rear. Now with all the new parts in and on we come to realize the ridler 20×8.5s wouldn’t tuck on the truck. I traded the wheels out for a set of rev classic 100s 18×8 in the front and 20×8 in the rear. We then cut out the bed, tubbed it and repainted it for the wheels and notches to fit to make it look nice. All this wouldn’t have been done without the help from my dad and good friends Shayne Hardwick, Justin French, and Kevin Crouch.

After getting all the kinks worked out and getting it cleaned back up it was finally show ready. In September 2015 I was brought into the nation’s finest car/truck club/family Relaxed Atmosphere. I still have a little bit to do on the s10 for it to be fully complete. I have a 350 v8 I’m working on to drop in it as well as doing some engine bay modifications to button it all together. Will be soon.
