I’m obsessed with old Chevy trucks. You just can’t get enough of them. And I always have had a soft spot for first-generation K5s. After I finished the restoration of my 1969 El Camino I decided I wanted to go with one of them next. I looked at several before I bought the ochre one you see here. It was a grandpa rig which really made me interested. It is somewhat survivor status so I have not done much to it in the bodywork/paint department other just buffing the old paint out. I have put a tuff country 6-inch lift on it and have rebuilt all the front end components. The truck had bad sitting for many years due to a bad tranny that I had to replace to get it on the road. We have a very large parts yard of 67-72 trucks so it’s makes finding hard parts easy. It’s my fun summertime rig. It’s not perfect but that’s what makes it so easy to enjoy. One of these winters I may tear it all apart and do some paint and body on it but for now, she still turns heads the way she sits. 1972 Blazer CST 350/350/205 6 inch all spring lift 35×13.50 Toyo MTs on 15×11 slots.
