Like many in the LMC community, the story of my Blazer dates back many years. I purchased it in 2001 as a 17 year old High School junior. It was pretty rough at the time. The engine was smoking from a blown head gasket and most of the factory paint had long faded. That first summer was a lesson in auto mechanics and hard work that I still carry with me. There is nothing like jumping into a project that forces the cultivation of new skills. The 350 was rebuilt, the body stripped and painted and before long, I was driving her to school with my brother riding shotgun. It’s been with me through most of life’s major events. Graduations, road trips with my dad to far off places like Moab, marriage, and now my 7 and 10 year old kids enjoy riding around in the old Blazer. My son is just now tall enough to reach the pedals and loves to drive her down the farm road at my friend’s ranch. Recently, it’s been upgraded with a mild lift, cross over steering, 33” tires, and dual exhaust. Through it all, LMC has been there to support with parts and tech advise. Thanks for all your efforts to help us keep these rigs on the road.
