Bought the truck in 1976 for $400.00 and a very small camp trailer. It was an ugly yellow that may have been original. Had turn signals on the front fenders. In ’79 I had it painted a ’79 Ford Fawn brownish color. Some of the interior details were painted ’79 Ford Doeskin, a different shade of brown. Unfortunately, even though I told the body/paint shop I wanted the mirror mounting holes on the doors left open, they opted to weld them in.

I installed a ’61 Ford 4 granny 4 speed trans with different bell housing as the original had a 3 on the column. I changed the rear bumper because I wanted to pull a camp trailer and the bumper that was on it (don’t remember that it was original) would not accept a ball even.

I tried to sell it a couple years ago, but luckily it didn’t sell. I like original iron- not that customized doesn’t look nice, but I don’t want this cut up. I still have the original 3 speed & driveline, but have lost the shifter & linkage. Also, gone is the spare tire mount.
